Welcome to BookerNow Desserts! Serving ya flava ya neva knew ya needed! Our Pastry Chef & Founder, Shannon Booker, has been baking since she was 3. What started out as a fun family activity of box baking with mom flourished into BookerNow Desserts. At the age of 10 years old, Shannon thought she'd graduated from box cakes. When she asked her mom for scratch recipes she replied, "I don't have scratch recipes, look on the back of the box. You have to ask your grandmom." From that point on, Shannon has been baking from scratch. Her grandmother even passed the torch to her, having her bake her signature recipe for 7 Up cake. When Shannon was about 14 she took interest in cake decorating taking all of the Wilton classes at AC Moore. While in high school she had the opportunity to attend culinary school summer programs. During those summer programs she got a taste of what the industry was about. Since then, Shannon has worked in numerous bakeries (retail & private), taken countless continuing education courses, & attended numerous baking retreats. On January 24, 2022 BookerNow LLC was born. In May of 2022, Shannon received her Associates Degree in Baking & Pastry Arts. During her journey Shannon's grandmom, Edna became her guardian angel in 2017 and her grandpop became her guardian angel in 2019. Although the deaths deeply affected her, Shannon's passion & dedication for her craft has deepened, even when she temporarily stepped away from the industry. Now she focuses on her mission and passion of bringing bold, unique flavors to people's palates while giving a joyful experience. Serving ya flava ya neva knew ya needed!
